Truly exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing food company. We are looking for an experienced, Senior food buyer to join this ambitious company and help them on their journey. We are working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to add an experienced Food Buyer to their team. This really is a great opportunity to join an ambitious group of people who are truly passionate about their business and its future.
You will need to be passionate about relationships, identifying new suppliers and building long term partnerships (UK, Europe and Global). You will have experience across a range of categories (Dairy, bakery, meat, ambient etc) and will have established relationships with supplier contacts. You will be commercially minded – great with numbers and negotiations.
A number of years (10+) experience in food procurement is an absolute must; you will have the relevant contacts and connections in place! We are looking for a self-starter who can take ownership for a group of key suppliers and juggle multiple projects, working with technical teams to launch new products to the market.
Experience of working with small and large suppliers globally, and managing those relationships. A passion for food, NPD and launching new products goes without saying. Remote working but some European travel will be required. A full, clean UK driving licence is needed.
