We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead procurement activity across Professional Services and related indirect spend areas. This is a pivotal role where you will shape and deliver long‑term category strategies, drive complex tender processes end‑to‑end, and secure commercially robust contracts that deliver real value.

You will act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders, using data insights and market knowledge to influence decision making and ensure best‑practice procurement. Alongside leading high‑value negotiations and contract management, you will also support and develop junior team members, fostering growth and capability within the function.

Previous management or mentoring experience required, along with experience across Legal, Consultancy (Big 4), Insurance, Market data, etc.

Key responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Leading complex tenders from inception through to contract award and implementation.
  • Managing supplier relationships and driving performance, value, and risk mitigation.
  • Delivering measurable procurement outcomes including cost savings and service improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, regulatory requirements, and best practice.

We are seeking someone with strong commercial acumen, proven experience in Professional Services procurement, and the confidence to engage and influence at all levels. MCIPS (or equivalent) is preferred.
