We are supporting a major UK infrastructure programme in the search for an Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager to join a growing Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their strategic sourcing and category management experience within a complex, highly regulated environment. You will support high-value procurements (£1m+), contribute to category strategies, manage sourcing activities, undertake market analysis, and work closely with stakeholders across commercial, finance, legal, and project delivery teams.

Key Requirements

  • Procurement, sourcing, or category management experience.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end tendering and procurement processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and analytical ability.
  • Working towards MCIPS or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, rail, defence, or other regulated sectors.
  • Exposure to NEC or FIDIC contracts.

Hybrid working.
