We are partnering with a rapidly growing European Data Centre business to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their newly created Procurement team. This is a broad procurement role supporting a rapidly growing data centre operator. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating across multiple indirect procurement categories and flexing to the needs of the business.
The role is an individual contributor reporting to the Head of Procurement and is intended to create immediate capacity across the procurement function. We are looking for someone who can independently lead procurement activity from strategy through to contract execution. The successful candidate should be capable of operating with minimal supervision and be comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading end-to-end sourcing and tender activities across multiple categories - M&E, Hard FM, Capex, Prof Services, Consultancy, Operations.
- Developing commercial strategies and negotiation plans.
- Managing complex supplier negotiations and contract mark-ups.
- Supporting business stakeholders with sourcing strategy and supplier engagement.
- Building greater visibility of supplier spend, renewals and procurement pipeline.
- Driving supplier governance, performance management, and relationship management.
- Identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and commercial improvement.
- Ability to operate autonomously.
- Strong procurement experience with strong strategic sourcing capability.
- Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, facilities management, utilities, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive environments.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement with the confidence to influence senior operational and technical leaders.
- Experience operating in fast-paced organisations where procurement has been growing or transforming.
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous.
Head Office is central London - 1-2 days a week.
