We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Procurement / Commercial Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. Working closely with the Senior Procurement Manager and key business stakeholders, you will lead strategic third-party engagements across allocated business units. This role combines procurement delivery, commercial negotiation, supplier management, and business partnering within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will support the development and execution of procurement strategies across a range of Indirect categories, enhance supplier relationships, and ensure strong governance and regulatory compliance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and delivery of procurement strategy across indirect spend categories.
- Lead procurement projects and commercial initiatives to deliver efficiencies and cost savings.
- Manage supplier relationships throughout procurement activities and contract lifecycles.
- Negotiate and execute complex commercial agreements with strategic suppliers.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and central functions including Legal, IT Security, and Financial Crime.
- Identify market trends, commercial opportunities, and innovative supplier solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and ways of working.
- Support third-party risk management and governance activities.
- Contribute to the development of a robust and commercially effective supplier ecosystem.
We are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience operating within complex corporate environments. You will ideally have:
- Strong knowledge of strategic procurement and category management methodologies.
- Experience managing indirect spend and complex supplier relationships.
- Proven commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders.
- Experience delivering procurement savings and efficiencies against targets.
- Ability to operate effectively within matrix or virtual team environments.
- Experience within financial services or broader professional/services-based organisations.
- Knowledge of UK financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks.
- Relevant professional qualification such as MCIPS or MBA.
