This innovative and fast-paced Global Fintech brand is going through considerable growth and is looking for a Data Analyst to join their dynamic Procurement Team. This exciting new role focuses on transforming complex operational, financial and infrastructure data into actionable insights that support procurement decisions, capacity planning, supplier management, and investment strategy. You will work closely with procurement, finance, engineering, and operations stakeholders to develop reporting, forecasting and analytics capabilities across a growing technology estate.
Data Analyst role:
- Extract, cleanse, and integrate data from cloud platforms, procurement systems, infrastructure management tools, and financial systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for procurement, infrastructure, finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Analyse infrastructure utilisation, asset lifecycle trends, capacity planning metrics, and technology refresh programmes.
- Combine cloud consumption, procurement, financial and operational datasets to provide business insights and decision support.
- Analyse cloud, colocation, and infrastructure costs to support investment planning and optimisation initiatives.
- Develop forecasting models for infrastructure demand, supplier commitments, and hardware procurement planning.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to provide insight into server utilisation, storage growth, network capacity, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, resiliency, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop KPI frameworks and operational metrics for cloud services, infrastructure assets, and operational processes.
- Build and improve automated reporting, analytics workflows, and data pipelines.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Support strategic decision making through reporting on supplier commitments, infrastructure investment, and capacity planning.
Your present skillset:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8 or more years of experience in data analysis within procurement, infrastructure, asset management, finance, or technology operations.
- Strong understanding of AWS reporting, cloud financial management and cloud consumption analytics.
- Experience analysing infrastructure assets, capacity planning, hardware lifecycle management, and technology refresh programmes.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong SQL expertise.
- Experience using Python for analytics, automation, and data processing.
- Proficiency with Tableau or similar visualisation and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms and procurement systems such as SAP or Coupa is beneficial.
- Experience with infrastructure management, asset management or data centre management platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, storage architectures and infrastructure best practices is beneficial.
- Experience building automated data pipelines, ETL processes and enterprise reporting solutions is advantageous.
- Understanding of FinOps principles, supplier commitment management and infrastructure investment analysis is beneficial.
