A great opportunity for an ambitious FM Purchasing Manager to support the growth of a greenfield procurement function within an exciting and innovative organisation. We are excited to be partnering with a world class innovation and research centre as they embark on an exciting growth journey.
The Purchasing Manager for Facilities services is a newly created position within a greenfield Procurement team, which will support the Head of Procurement and wider team in delivering first class procurement activity and develop robust category strategies and processes across the group.
You will take ownership of the FM category and supplier management for both Hard and Soft services, as well as Laboratory Equipment and Services. We are looking for candidates with experience of building category strategies from the ground up and with the knowledge of implementing these across organisations. You will be responsible for a varied and growing estate.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has an ambitious mindset, can work in an agile environment and would be excited by the appeal of a greenfield team and support the growth and development of the function, with their experience and skill set.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:- 8 years’ procurement experience, with a significant focus on Facilities Management sourcing.
- Experience managing procurement activities for laboratory equipment and associated services within an FM context.
- A proven track record in leading complex procurement projects and delivering measurable value.
- Familiarity with working within highly regulated industries (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Research) is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (master’s degree desirable).
- MCIPS qualified or actively working towards full membership highly desirable.
Our client has huge growth plans for the next 3 years, with a new state of the art campus under construction, head count growth from the hundreds to the thousands by 2027. It really is an exciting time to get on board within this innovative and pioneering research organisation.
Our client is based in Oxford and will require you to be on site 3 days a week, and you must have the right to work permanently in the UK.
