An exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional within a scaling Med Tech organisation in Oxfordshire. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to influence the sourcing and supply chain activity at a critical stage in our client’s product development. We are working with a Med Tech scale up, who are bringing to market a game changing piece of technology to revolutionise the speed of patient detection across multiple healthcare systems globally.
Now entering the final stages of development, we are seeking an individual that can support the R&D and Design teams with procurement expertise to help shape the final product, engage with the supply chain to ensure scaling up capability and bring their New Product Introduction and Development experience to the table. Categories include – Lab Consumables, Components, Raw Materials, Electro-Mechanical, Chemical, Software.
This is a highly influential role, with visibility across the group, working with senior stakeholder groups in R&D, QA, Supply Chain and Operations. As such, we are looking for individuals with experience in the Med Device, Biotech, IVD manufacturing. Knowledge of NPD and NPI is essential, alongside the expected strategic procurement processes and planning. This role has 1 direct report, so ideally some management experience would be great. Our client is located in Oxford and will require a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support R&D and Design teams with procurement expertise to shape the final product and engage with the supply chain to enable scaling up.
- Influence sourcing and supply chain activity at a critical stage in product development.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across R&D, QA, Supply Chain and Operations.
- Apply New Product Introduction (NPI) and development experience to procurement planning and strategy.
- Manage a direct report and provide leadership within the procurement function.
- Navigate categories including Lab Consumables, Components, Raw Materials, Electro-Mechanical, Chemical, Software.
Qualifications
