We are currently recruiting 4 Strategic Sourcing Manager positions for a major infrastructure client. These are exciting opportunities for strategic, commercially astute Sourcing Managers. Join one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes as it enters a major growth phase.
We are looking for commercially astute Strategic Sourcing Managers to shape and deliver high-value procurement strategies across a complex, busy environment. You will need strategic sourcing experience, and to know how to develop category strategies. We are not too worried which categories you have managed previously. These roles would suit someone who has the strategic experience but enjoys being stretched and thrives on learning new things!
What you will be doing:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activity for high-value, complex contracts (often £100m+)
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned to business priorities and market conditions.
- Drive cost savings, efficiency improvements, and supply chain innovation.
- Manage supplier relationships and support long-term performance and value delivery.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across project delivery, finance, legal, and operations.
- Ensure full compliance with governance, regulatory, and procurement processes.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing or category management within complex environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale procurement and supplier negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-value setting.
- MCIPS (or working towards) preferred.
- NEC contract experience and Complex infrastructure project experience would be advantageous.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in delivering a nationally important project—while advancing your career in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Regular travel to London office (once per week) and other sites every 6‑8 weeks.
