This is an exciting new role and would suit someone who has a strong background in Data Analysis and is comfortable presenting to executive audiences.
Data Analyst role
- Data Analysis & Reporting.
- Extract, clean, and integrate data from a variety of systems (AWS, procurement systems, etc, Hardware Asset and Software Asset Management) to create accurate and insightful reports.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations in tools like Tableau for use by the procurement category managers, stakeholders and the executive team.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and analyses.
- AWS Reporting Integration.
- Utilize AWS reporting tools (Cost Explorer and Quicksight) to extract relevant data.
- Combine AWS data with other financial and procurement datasets to create holistic insights across the organisation.
- Automate data pipelines where possible to improve efficiency and reliability and reduce human errors.
- Collaboration & Communication.
- Work closely with procurement colleagues, finance, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Present findings and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring actionable recommendations are highlighted.
- Process Optimization.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the reporting and analytics workflows.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the team's data analysis strategies.
Your experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in procurement or financial functions.
- Proficiency in Tableau or similar reporting/visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of AWS reporting, including the ability to consume and integrate data from AWS.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software (e. g., SAP, Coupa, etc.
- Experience with Python or other programming languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and data storage best practices.
- Experience in building automated data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Experience working within fast paced organisations and developing visualisations/business insights of complex and disparate information.
