An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyer/Senior Buyer with some IT experience to join a major UK infrastructure business during a significant phase of growth and transformation. This role will support end-to-end procurement activity across IT and corporate functions, working closely with stakeholders to deliver sourcing strategies, supplier engagement, contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting high-value procurement activities within a complex and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting procurement activity from sourcing through to contract award.
  • Assisting with supplier negotiations, RFP/RFQ processes, and contract management.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
  • Ensuring procurement compliance, governance, and best practice.
  • Supporting reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:

  • Some experience within IT procurement/category management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and procurement processes.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
  • CIPS qualification/studying towards CIPS desirable.
