Assistant Category Manager | London | Hybrid ~ We are supporting a major UK infrastructure programme in the search for an Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager to join a growing Supply Chain team… This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their strategic sourcing and category management experience within a complex, highly regulated environment.
You will support high-value procurements (£1m+), contribute to category strategies, manage sourcing activities, undertake market analysis, and work closely with stakeholders across commercial, finance, legal, and project delivery teams.
Key
Requirements: Procurement, sourcing, or category management experience.
Experience supporting end-to-end tendering and procurement processes.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Good commercial awareness and analytical ability.
Working towards MCIPS or equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, rail, defence, or other regulated sectors.
Exposure to NEC or FIDIC contracts.
This role offers exposure to major projects, significant spend categories, and excellent long-term career development within a collaborative procurement function.
