Beaumont Legal Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established, multi-partner Scottish law firm to appoint an experienced Senior Family Law Solicitor to join and help further develop its expanding Family Law practice.
This opportunity will suit a senior practitioner operating at Legal Director, Consultant or Senior Associate level, who is seeking a high-quality role within a supportive, collegiate environment, offering autonomy, progression and long-term career development.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-resourced Family Law team with a strong and loyal client base, advising on a broad range of private family matters. The role offers genuine scope to shape and grow the department, play a visible role in client development, and contribute strategically to the wider business. The position is suited to a confident, self-sufficient solicitor who enjoys client-facing work, values professional integrity, and is motivated by delivering excellent outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own varied caseload of family law matters with minimal supervision
- Advising clients on financial provision matters, including medium to high-net-worth and complex cases
- Providing clear, pragmatic and commercially-aware advice to clients
- Playing an active role in the continued development and profile of the Family Law offering
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and professional networks
- Supporting and contributing positively to the wider Family Law team
Candidate Profile
- Scottish-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 10 years' PQE in Family Law
- Strong technical knowledge across private family law matters
- Significant experience handling financial provision cases
- Accredited (or willing to become accredited) as a Family Law Specialist
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility for outcomes
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- Strong understanding of Sheriff Court procedures
- Experience of Court of Session work advantageous
- Commercially minded, with an interest in practice and client development

Working Arrangements
