Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + £5,000 welcome bonus (50% when you join, 50% when you pass probation) – there may be a possibility to negotiate outside of this range.

About the role:
The successful applicant will be leading an established Learning Disability and Autism service, providing high-quality care in a specialist setting. This service supports individuals with moderate learning disabilities, associated health needs, and behaviours that may be considered challenging. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee operational performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a person-centred approach to care. The position also involves managing commercial opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain financial targets and drive service development to meet evolving service user needs.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a high standard of care.
- Promote and uphold the reputation of the organisation for quality outcomes.
- Foster collaborative working relationships with external agencies, commissioners, and safeguarding teams.
- Oversee supervision and annual review processes for staff, ensuring continued professional development.
Requirements:
- Nurse qualification and live NMC registration.
- Experience in managing services for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Strong commercial acumen to drive service growth and sustainability.
- Previous experience managing a team within health and social care.
- Exposure to budget control, business development, and revenue generation.
- A leadership approach that balances inclusivity and direction.
- Experience liaising with regulatory bodies such as CQC and commissioning groups.
