This is a truly unique opportunity to assume full responsibility for the Employment Law practice, playing a key role in setting and delivering the firm’s long-term strategy and growth objectives.
Lead on complex employment law matters, acting as a trusted adviser to clients across Aberdeen and the North East. Drive the future direction of the practice, enhancing its market position while strengthening your own leadership profile within the firm and the wider legal community. Shape, grow, and consolidate a core practice area within the firm with a strong regional reputation and established presence in the market.
The ideal candidate will possess 8+pqe in Employment Law dealing with all aspects of:
- Settlement agreements
- Constructive, unfair, and wrongful dismissal cases
- Sickness absence issues
- Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
- ACAS early conciliation
- Employment tribunals
Key skills:
- Demonstrate the ability to identify key issues and conduct effective legal merits assessments
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team-focused approach, with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risks effectively
