This is an interesting and varied role advising the firms diverse client base on a range of employment law issues and represent them in employment tribunals.

Key areas of responsibility include;
- Advising on the employment aspects of transactions, such as corporate and outsourcing projects
- Handling day-to-day employment queries, including disciplinary and grievance matters
- Managing collective matters, such as redundancies, integration, and TUPE
- Advising on trade union matters
- Representing clients in tribunal litigation
The successful candidates who can be based either, Based in our Aberdeen, Inverness, or Edinburgh office, you will:
- Manage your own caseload and assist with complex cases with team support
- Deliver high-quality client care
- Handle both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for employers and employees
- Work with clients in person and remotely, attending tribunals and court when required
- Participate in business development activities
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations, including client verification
The ideal candidate will possess 4+pqe in Employment Law coupled with;
- Possess a strong track record of advising clients and representing them in employment tribunals.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify key issues and conduct effective legal merits assessments
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team-focused approach, with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Attention to detail, particularly when working with figures
- Confidence in making timely, well-considered decisions
- Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risks effectively
Your experience should include managing a caseload that covers;
- Settlement agreements
- Constructive, unfair, and wrongful dismissal cases
- Sickness absence issues
- Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
- ACAS early conciliation
- Employment tribunals
