Hybrid working model (3 days+ in office per week). Privately-owned companies play a vital role in the UK's economic growth, both at a local and national level. We've spent years supplying top-tier data on these companies to the public sector – and we're looking for an experienced AE to help us go further with central government, universities and local authorities.

About Beauhurst: We're building the leading provider of private company data and analysis in Europe. Private companies represent 80% of private sector employment and over 90% of revenues across Europe. They are the engine of innovation and the source of most of the jobs and tax receipts in the economy. Yet for anyone trying to find, track or understand them, the data is a mess – outdated, inconsistent, scattered across thousands of sources, and impossible to verify by hand at any meaningful scale. We've spent 15 years fixing this. We use custom-built data extraction tools and pipelines, proprietary AI, and a team of 60+ in-house analysts to identify, extract and verify data from thousands of sources – covering 20 million companies, 24 million people, 232,000 transactions, and 1,000+ new news articles a day. Our platform, API, and consultancy services are trusted by our clients to enable them to make better decisions, drive revenue, reduce risk, and save time. Founded in 2010, we work with over 500 UK organisations across venture capital, major financial institutions, corporates, leading universities, and the Government. We're not stopping here. We launched in Germany last year as our first step in international expansion, and are now scaling across Europe – Ireland next, then more.

The Role: We've been supplying data on private companies to public sector organisations for years, helping them devise policy, engage business and measure economic impact. We're looking for a Senior AE who can build on that foundation – running sophisticated outreach, responding to tenders, and closing strategic deals with senior decision-makers. You'll have a proven MEDDIC-led methodology and a fully developed tech stack to support you, and you'll have real input into how we evolve our public sector playbook.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Pipeline generation: Identifying and executing on effective strategies for engaging with the public sector – cold outreach, co-ordinated marketing campaigns, events, and tender responses.
  • Managing strategic sales cycles: Running deals from a few months to a year+, closing £50k+ p/a contracts.
  • Tender response: Identifying, entering and winning mid-market public sector tenders.
  • Running demos: Managing online demos with potential clients, highly tailored to each organisation's use cases.
  • Contributing to public sector engagement strategy: Working closely with senior team members on territory prioritisation, pricing, and how we sell.

About you:

  • 3+ years selling into large public sector organisations – ideally central government and universities.
  • Consistent track record closing £50k+ p/a deals in complex, consultative sales environments.
  • Proven history of entering and winning tenders, particularly for data-related products.
  • Proven history of generating pipeline outside of tenders through outbound, events and networking.

The traits that matter most:

  • Intelligent – We sell a complex product to lots of types of organisations; you learn fast and are keen to understand how our products can solve many different challenges for them.
  • Smart and consultative – You take a strategic, intelligent approach, you're credible with senior public sector decision-makers, and you look to add value in every interaction before making an ask.
  • Coachable and a lifelong learner – You actively seek out feedback and develop your craft through books, podcasts, and learning from the best.
  • Resilient under pressure – Public sector cycles are long; you stay sharp, bounce back fast, and choose the pain of hard work now over the pain of failure later.

Our offer: We're offering a competitive starting salary including periodic bonus targets & uncapped commission. We also invest a lot in keeping our people happy and healthy. So as well as that, you'll also get:

  • A stake in the company: This is huge - everything you do will create value in the company that you will partly own.
  • Healthcare: Our health cash plan will cover all of your day-to-day health and wellness needs.
  • Free therapy: Sessions with any of our hand-picked counsellors, all on us.
  • Professional development: You drive your own development - if you want to do some training, bring it to us and we’ll foot the bill.
  • Events: Company-wide parties and away days, drinks every Friday, regular team socials - what can we say, we enjoy each other’s company.
  • Subsidised travel: Season ticket loans, free railcards, and a cycle to work scheme.
  • Clubs: Whether you enjoy reading, padel, bouldering or biscuits there will be a subsidised club for you.
