About Beauhurst:
We are building the leading provider of private company data in Europe. Private companies represent 80% of private sector employment and over 90% of revenues across Europe. They are the backbone of our economy – creating jobs, driving innovation, and generating the tax receipts that enable government services. Yet finding, collecting, and understanding information about private companies remains a significant challenge.
We bridge this gap by providing our customers with comprehensive, up-to-date private company information. Our online platforms and API help our clients to discover, track and understand these companies. This empowers them to take informed action, whether they are offering services or funding to help companies grow, crafting supportive policies, or making better decisions through deeper understanding of the economic landscape.
We work with venture capital firms, big financial institutions, leading universities and the Government to help them find and work with companies that drive disruption and innovation across the economy. Joining as an Account Manager means you will get exposure to all of these worlds and build a network across some of the most interesting organisations in the UK and beyond.
The Role:
As an Account Manager, your role will be a perfect blend of building great relationships and hitting targets. This means getting to know your clients personally, asking the right questions and establishing trust to get to the heart of their needs. You will also be conducting research and meeting people from around your client’s business to understand how their company is structured and figuring out how to best integrate Beauhurst.
From here, you will be spotting opportunities to increase their subscription value (add more users/features) and cross-sell to other teams within their organisation, as well as ensuring they get value from our product year on year!
Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
- Building relationships - maintaining regular contact with your clients via email, on the phone, and in person (you will be the trusted face of Beauhurst for your portfolio).
- Working towards renewal and growth targets (and being rewarded for it) - we will help you understand your numbers and give you the tools to hit them.
- Spotting opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell, arranging introductions to others in the team where necessary, and pushing sales opportunities through the door.
- Noting down feedback/suggestions from clients around our platform and sharing it with our product development team to help them continuously improve our product - your insights will directly shape what we build next.
This role is a brilliant launchpad if you are looking to build a career in account management, sales or customer success and want to learn quickly in a supportive, high-performance team.
About you:
We do not have a set idea of the sort of background/experience/industry you need to come from, but some experience working with customers or stakeholders is important - for example in sales, client success, account management, customer support, or another commercial role.
You will ideally be:
- A natural people person: a great listener, emotionally intelligent and extremely interested in getting to know all sorts of people and understanding what makes them tick.
- Target-driven: you like working towards/exceeding targets, and on a personal level, are super driven by self-improvement and keen to learn from feedback.
- Resilient: you handle challenging situations well and are able to bounce back after a setback - you see problems as opportunities to learn rather than reasons to give up.
- Curious and proactive: you ask questions, seek out context and enjoy figuring things out, even when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
Even if you do not tick every box, if this role excites you and you are motivated to learn, we would love to hear from you.
Our offer:
We are offering a competitive salary of £47-57k OTE (£35-45k base + bonus + uncapped commission). On top of this, we invest a lot in keeping our people happy and healthy! Here is what you will also get:
- A stake in the company: This is huge - everything you do will create value in the company that you will partly own.
- Healthcare: Our health cash plan will cover all of your day-to-day health and wellness needs.
- Free therapy: Sessions with any of our hand-picked counsellors, all on us.
- Professional development: You drive your own development - if you want to do some training, bring it to us and we will foot the bill.
- Events: Company-wide parties and away days, drinks every Friday, regular team socials - what can we say, we enjoy each other’s company.
- Subsidised travel: Season ticket loans, free railcards, and a cycle to work scheme.
- Clubs: Whether you enjoy reading, padel, bouldering or biscuits there will be a subsidised club for you.
