As a Part‑time Residential Childcare Worker, you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted “parent figure” for looked‑after children.

To succeed as a Part‑time Residential Childcare Support Worker, we’re looking for candidates who are:
- Dedicated to child safeguarding.
- Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children.

- Proactive and creative in activity planning.
- Capable of practical “life skills” including cooking, cleaning and good home management.
- Detail‑oriented and competent users of IT, to ensure that every child’s needs are met and documented in line with regulatory expectations and standards.
Essential must haves:
- A valid UK driving licence and a willingness to travel as part of the role, including areas surrounding Bournemouth and the Head Office in Ringwood.
- Willingness to pursue relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner.
Hours:
16 + hours per week, plus overtime. Two shifts per week, shift times usually start at 15:00 or 17:00 and finish at 23:00, Monday to Friday, and weekend shifts on the roster are 12:00 to 22:00. Mornings are not required. This position is unsuitable as a second job. Additional paid hours are required for training and overtime on occasion, therefore flexibility to work in excess of the contracted 16 hours per week is required. Roster: Currently a 3‑week rolling roster is in place to include weekends.
