About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted ‘parent figure’ for looked‑after children. Your responsibilities include:
- Building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic and difficult backgrounds
- Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive
- Planning and co‑ordinating engaging, fun activities, encouraging the children’s leisure interests
- Ensuring a structured, safe, comfortable home environment
- Following regulatory processes using IT, good administration and record keeping
About you
- Dedicated to child safeguarding
- Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children
