Location: Bournemouth
Salary: From £32,846 per annum, inclusive of enhancements
Hours: 37 hours per week, plus 10 sleep-in shifts per month and overtime opportunities
Roster: 3 week rolling roster to include weekends and Bank holidays

About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted ‘parent figure’ for looked‑after children. Your responsibilities include:
- Building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic and difficult backgrounds
- Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive
- Plan and co‑ordinate engaging, fun activities, encouraging the children’s leisure interests
- Ensure a structured, safe, comfortable home environment
- Follow regulatory processes using IT, good administration and record keeping
About you
To succeed as a Residential Childcare Support Worker, we’re looking for candidates who are:
- Dedicated to child safeguarding
- Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children
- Passionate about making a positive difference in children’s welfare
- Resilient and patient, capable of handling challenging behaviours
- Proactive and creative in activity planning
