The Role
As the Landscaping Foreman, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing a team of landscapers to execute residential garden projects from start to finish. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Director of Landscaping, you’ll ensure that projects are completed on time, to specification, and with the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Leading a landscaping team of 2–3 on-site, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Managing residential projects according to schedules, providing record keeping updates to the Operations Manager.
- Reading and working from detailed drawings, including setting out sites and levels.
- Solving on-site problems with a solutions-driven approach.
- Enforcing health and safety guidelines and ensuring the correct use of PPE.
- Operating small plant machinery (digger ticket desirable).
- Carrying out key landscaping tasks, including paving, blockwork, brickwork, timber work, and fencing.
- Overseeing planting and maintaining a basic understanding of horticulture.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a dynamic, ‘can-do’ attitude who thrives on delivering high-quality projects and motivating their team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and experienced leader who is organised, adaptable, and passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years leading a landscaping team on residential projects.
- Proven experience in landscape construction, particularly high-end residential projects.
- Ability to work from detailed drawings and set out levels accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in paving, brickwork, blockwork, timber work, and fencing.
- Basic understanding of horticulture and planting principles.
- Experience using small plant machinery (digger ticket is a plus).
Desirable Qualifications:
- ROLO Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness Course
- CSCS card
