About our English Faculty
Core to the English Department ethos is a deep-rooted love of learning, where teachers strive to enrich the learning experience of their students through quality-first teaching and extracurricular opportunities. Students regularly attend trips to the theatre, experience in-school productions, and participate in workshops led by published poets, authors and university lecturers. We take pride in nurturing talent; students are entered into department based and national writing competitions with the opportunity to have their work published. Further to this, developing student's skill of oracy and creating articulate speakers is a prime focus.
