About Beat Media Group

Beat Media Group is one of the UK’s leading content, creative and communications agencies. Through Sportsbeat and Storybeat, we produce journalism, social content, video, creative campaigns and industry-leading syndication for sports brands, teams, athletes and broadcasters across the global sports landscape. We are fast-moving, collaborative and ambitious. Curiosity, creativity, accountability and a genuine love of sport and storytelling sit at the heart of our culture. This role sits within a growing area of the business as we continue to invest in bold, social-first design and motion-led storytelling.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a creative and driven Social Media Content Producer to join our content team and help deliver engaging, high-performing short-form content across some of the biggest names in sport. This is a hands-on role focused on producing platform-native content, particularly vertical video, across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You will be involved from ideation through to filming, editing and publishing. The role is ideal for someone who understands how sport lives on social media, reacts quickly to trends and cultural moments, and enjoys being out capturing content as much as editing it.

What You Will Do

  • Create short-form vertical video content across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts
  • Film content primarily on mobile devices (iPhone/Android) at shoots, training sessions and live environments
  • Edit video content with strong pacing, hooks, captions and subtitles
  • Publish and optimise content in line with platform best practice

Ideation & Creative Development

  • Generate content ideas aligned with client objectives and sporting moments
  • Spot and act on trends, formats and sounds quickly
  • Adapt tone and style across athletes, teams, competitions and brands
  • Contribute to content planning and brainstorming sessions

Production & Delivery

  • Support content capture at events, shoots and training environments where required
  • Work collaboratively with producers, designers, editors and account teams
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Deliver content on time and to brief

Platform Awareness & Performance

  • Stay up to date with TikTok and Instagram trends, formats and algorithm updates
  • Optimise content for engagement and retention
  • Support scheduling and uploading where required

What We Are Looking For

There is no one perfect profile. We are looking for someone creative, proactive and passionate about sport and social media.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience creating social media content in a professional, freelance or agency environment
  • Proven experience producing short-form vertical video
  • Confident filming on a smartphone
  • Editing experience using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or similar
  • Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram content styles and trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work at pace
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for sport and sports culture

Good to Have

  • Experience working with sports brands, athletes or rights holders
  • Experience filming at live sporting events
  • Basic motion graphics or subtitle animation skills
  • DSLR or mirrorless filming experience
  • Photoshop or template editing experience
  • Live clipping or reactive content experience

Cultural Fit

You will suit this role if you:

  • Have a growth mindset and a strong sense of creative curiosity
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment
  • Care deeply about craft, detail and consistency
  • Enjoy working as part of a team-first culture
  • Love sport, design and the way audiences engage with content
