Are you a Welder, Fabricator, Site Fitter, or hands-on Engineering Operative who likes variety in the job? This is a permanent opportunity with an established and accredited engineering business working across the East Midlands. You’ll be split between a busy steel fabrication workshop and customer sites, helping with MIG welding, fabrication, installation work, and mechanical repairs. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on engineering rather than repetitive bench work all day.
The role
- MIG welding and general steel fabrication
- Using workshop fabrication equipment
- Site fitting and installing fabricated items
- Carrying out mechanical repairs and modifications
- Working from instructions, job sheets, and drawings where required
- Working independently and as part of a small team
- Meeting deadlines while keeping work to a good standard
What you’ll need
- Experience in welding, fabrication, site fitting, mechanical fitting, or general engineering
- Some MIG welding experience
- Confidence using workshop fabrication equipment
- Previous site-based fitting or installation experience
- Ability to follow instructions and work without constant supervision
- Own transport and a realistic commute to the Nottinghamshire area
