Looking for hands‑on factory work in a clean, organised engineering environment? We are recruiting for two Robot Welding Machine Operator roles at a busy Leicester-based manufacturing company supplying heavy‑duty fabricated parts across construction, rail, agriculture, and energy sectors. You’ll be trained to operate pre‑programmed robotic welding machines; no coding or programming experience needed. If you’ve worked in production, machine operating, welding or fabrication support before, this could be a great long‑term opportunity.
What’s on Offer
- Position 1 Day Shift: £12.21 per hour Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 17:15 (4‑day week)
- Position 2 Night Shift: £12.21 per hour £2.00/night shift allowance Monday to Thursday, 18:00 – 06:00 (4‑night week)
- Both Roles: Full‑time, permanent contracts 4 shifts per week, no Fridays, no weekends
- Overtime available (paid at enhanced rates)
- Based in Leicester, commutable from Wigston, Blaby, Hinckley, Lutterworth
Duties
- Operate robotic welding machines to produce welded assemblies
- Load jigs, fixtures and components into the robot welder
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety procedures and report any machine issues
- Support general fabrication and production where required
- No welding experience needed – full training will be provided
Ideal Background
- Experience as a machine operator, fabrication labourer, production operative, or similar role in a factory/engineering setting
- Confident using tools, equipment and handling metal parts
- Keen eye for detail and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working independently once trained
- Willing to commit to a consistent 4‑day/week shift pattern
