Are you a skilled CNC Turner who is confident setting and operating Fanuc-controlled lathes? This precision engineering business in Leicestershire is offering a role with clean batch work, modern kit, and a choice between a four- or five-day week. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join their close-knit team producing high-precision components in small batch volumes for industries like motorsport, marine, defence, oil & gas, and scientific instrumentation.
What's on Offer:
- Pay: Up to £16 per hour (depending on experience)
- Shifts: Choice of two full-time, permanent patterns:
- Option 1: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 17:15
- Option 2: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 (with early finish Friday at 12:00)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes
- Producing small batch parts (typically 20-50 units, occasionally up to 100)
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Monitoring part quality and maintaining tolerances to high standards
- Supporting other team members and contributing to a tidy, organised shop floor
What You'll Need:
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Lathe Operator or similar
- Confident setting and operating Fanuc-based lathes
- Able to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- Experience with small batch or precision work preferred
- Programming ability (advantageous but not essential)
- A positive attitude and a commitment to quality and precision
