We are seeking to hire a temp (1-3 months - potentially with the view to go perm) motion designer / animator to join our creative team working across all our video content projects, which include live action and fully animated projects. Reporting into the Creative Lead, this role is dual focused; you will either be originating style frames and storyboards / crafting decks or you will be in AE creating elegant animation.
Working in partnership with your fellow creatives and producers, you will be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively on your own projects. You will have a clear passion for design and animation, and a desire to be part of the wider creative process including ideation and pre-production input is highly encouraged and expected within our small but rapidly growing team. Knowing the importance of brand guidelines and being skilled at working within them whilst delivering designs that wow clients is also important.

Objectives of this Role:- Adding fresh creative muscle and personality to our team across both design, motion graphics & animation and live action video content.
- Working alongside our motion team to design high quality animation and motion graphics projects.
- Creating decks and treatments that enhance the creative ideas and speak directly to the brand/client.
- Create eye catching marketing/social content for BearJam and be the brand guardian of all BearJam material.
- Supporting the new business team to deliver pitch decks, including the creation of styleframes, landing pages, idea generation and design support where needed.
- Championing our company’s growth by inspiring both our team and our clients to produce best-in-class video content.
- Creating motion/animation graphics as part of our video content delivery for a wide range of purposes including Fully Motion GFX animated Content, Explainer animations, Branded content, Event Coverage, Social Media Content, Promotional Videos for products + services, interviews and other related videos.
- Sourcing appropriate imagery/inspiration for mood boards and client proposals.
- Creating original designs for style frames + storyboards to build into motion.
- Ability to scamp out projects and video content visions is a plus!
- Work in 2D but able to conceptualise + outsource 3D if the budget allows. (Any 3D skills are a bonus of course!)
- Adapting and rolling out campaign assets across multiple social media & broadcast formats as required.
- Exporting content to precise technical specifications.
- Downloading, uploading, logging + maintenance of Motion GFX projects and assets.
- Packaging and delivering projects to clients and asset libraries.
- General housekeeping of software, assets, style guides and project files.
- Consolidating and archiving completed projects.
- Project ownership including communication, planning, foresight + proactive management of challenges.
- Ability to communicate ideas internally and to clients.
- Receiving, managing and executing feedback.
- Where required, contributing to original ideas and developing concepts alongside the Lead Creative.
- Create content for our own Social Media & website case studies.
- Work within corporate branding guidelines & advise confidently on branding aspects.
- Strong technical skills and experience in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- 2 - 3+ years of motion and design experience backed by a creatively strong professional and/or personal portfolio.
- Consistent, positive and can-do attitude.
- Ability to set and communicate clear expectations to the team + clients.
- High levels of initiative, desire & ability to work autonomously to deliver on objectives + responsibilities.
- Thrive in an ever-changing often high-pressure environment, leading by calm, effective and measured example.
- Able to work effectively and easily with a variety of people/personalities for best outcomes.
- Natural organisational ability and aptitude to multitask, agile and quick to adapt to changing projects.
- Excellent creative eye and passion for motion design.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a proven track record of creating video.
- Ability to ideate video content to be used across a variety of digital media including Youtube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Understanding of narrative storytelling.
- Confident using Mac hardware and software.
