We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain & Operations Consultant to join our Operations Team at a pivotal moment of growth and investment and be part of a community of like-minded consultants. As a Supply Chain & Operations Consultant within BearingPoint UK, you will be at the heart of project delivery for our national and international clients, solving complex problems and delivering meaningful client results as part of transformational supply chain and operations projects. You could be designing the global network for an international manufacturer, building planning tools for household name UK retailers, or automating large scale distribution centres amongst others.
You’ll join our vibrant Core Consulting Team (CCT), a dynamic community at BearingPoint designed to accelerate your growth. Through the CCT, you’ll gain access to exclusive training programs, knowledge-sharing sessions, and a variety of social events that foster collaboration and connection across the firm.
Responsibilities:- Work on a diverse range of projects from strategy, through design, to implementation and go-live.
- Contribute to designing networks, planning tools, or automation initiatives for supply chain and operations clients.
- Analyse large datasets and use data to model different solutions and scenarios.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and deliver client solutions drawing on prior supply chain knowledge.
- Support project workstreams and deliverables in collaboration with BearingPoint teams.
- Passion for solving complex supply chain and operations problems with strong analytical and core technical skills.
- Proactive, confident, and adaptable with good communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to handle and analyse large datasets; experience with modelling to support decision-making.
- Experience in Supply Chain knowledge and ability to draw on it to support client solutions.
- Experience in manufacturing or retail sectors is a plus.
- Experience in Supply Chain Industry or Supply Chain consultancy, including network modelling, manufacturing planning, and warehouse modelling is of interest.
- Knowledge of key Supply Chain management concepts.
- Experience with analysis or modelling in Excel and/or SQL.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area (e.g., Planning, Transport, Logistics, Network Design).
- Experience delivering projects or project workstreams.
- Analytical capability in data analytics (SQL, Python, R, VBA, Machine Learning) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Creative problem solving, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
