Overview
In this Procurement Consultant role, you drive IT procurement initiatives for clients, leading category management, cost optimisation, and advisory work. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert on IT spend, covering software licensing, hardware, cloud, telco, and services, and you’ll guide client engagements to deliver measurable value. You collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve target outcomes and leverage procurement systems to manage sourcing and supplier performance. Responsibilities
- Lead IT procurement projects, including category management and cost optimisation
- Provide clients with expert insights on IT procurement (hardware, software, application management, telco)
- Manage client, stakeholder, and supplier engagements to achieve outcomes
- Offer recommendations based on procurement best practices and market trends
- Utilise procurement systems to run sourcing events, reporting, and monitor supplier performance
Key requirements
- 4+ years in a procurement consulting environment delivering engagements for multiple clients
- Proven track record leading and managing end-to-end procurement initiatives in a consulting context
- Broad experience advising on IT procurement spend categories (software licensing, hardware, cloud, telecommunications, IT services, cybersecurity)
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to communicate with senior leadership
