THE ROLE

The Production Manager role is responsible for managing and coordinating medium to large scale projects for Bearded Kitten and Bearded Kitten Studios. This role ensures efficient, high-quality, and safe planning/pre-production of installations, exhibitions, live events, and brand activations assigned by the Head of Production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Shape and manage all elements of a production from concept to delivery.
2. Provide production specifications and costings for pitches, balancing creative ambition with practical delivery.
3. Be client-facing and articulate proposed production methodologies clearly.
4. Take responsibility for third party/subcontractor deliverables.
5. Work alongside the in-house fabrication department for smooth delivery of custom assets.
6. Review preferred suppliers and identify new partners.
7. Work with Producers to ascertain staffing requirements and support booking freelancers.
8. Coordinate sourcing and interviewing freelancers with the People & Culture Lead.
9. Ensure projects are delivered to relevant H&S standards.
10. Onsite production management during install and live events.
11. Oversee financial control of production budgets and assist with budget reconciliation.
12. Assist in training and mentoring junior production team members.
13. Provide knowledge of scenic construction methods and materials.
14. Be willing to work unsociable hours and travel as required.

THE PERSON

1. Passionate about delivering events to the highest standards.
2. International experience in events and installations.
3. Experience managing teams and providing direction.
4. Management experience of medium to large scale events in high profile locations.
5. Proven supplier network with long-term relationships.
6. Excellent estimating and budgeting skills.
7. Broad understanding of technical production.
8. Strong knowledge of scenic construction methods.
9. Proficient in AutoCAD/Vectorworks/Sketchup.
10. Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
