The Beard Engineering Co, based in the local area of Jacksdale, is a family run firm established in 1947. Located 3 miles from Junction 27 of the M1, we specialise in large scale manual milling (up to 10m) and have expanded to include CNC milling to run alongside our established manual milling services. We provide work to a wide range of customers, and all work is fulfilled to a high standard with precision.
Package:
- £36,500 per annum (OTE - over £50,000 per annum)
- Permanent days shift (7am - 3:30pm, Mon - Thurs & 7am - 2:30pm, Fri)
- Overtime available (paid at 1.5x, 11 hours available per week)
- 33 days holiday (inc bank holidays & 1 fixed week)

Requirements:
- Must be able to operate an xyz Pro Turn. We also operate a Bridgeport GX1000 CNC with Heidenhain controls; experience with these machines would be an advantage
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings
- Experienced CNC Programmer/Setter and Operator
- Must be able to carry out operations including: Milling, Drilling, Boring, and Tapping
- Must have the ability to inspect own components using various handheld measuring equipment including: DTI Gauges, Verniers, Micrometers, Slips, Depth Gauges
- Solidcam experience desirable
- Overhead Crane Experience is an advantage
