The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and motivated person to join our Bristol operations team. Managing construction projects, you will lead Beard project teams, communicating business and project objectives to all members of the team, ensuring company procedures are followed. You will work closely with clients and contractors to ensure all project objectives are met, as well as managing budgets, schedules, and resources. We undertake diverse and interesting projects ranging from traditional refurbishment projects to complex new build design and build, and everything in between, with values ranging from £1m-£30m.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, AND EXCELLENT AT:

  • Setting high personal safety and environmental standards, ensuring procedures are robustly applied
  • Building good working rapport with customers, consultants, and key members of the supply chain
  • Looking ahead and planning all aspects of the project, identifying challenges and suggesting solutions
  • Having full ownership of programmes, developing, tracking, and taking action where necessary
  • Managing the design process and consultant team to ensure information flow
  • Working closely with others to promote company vision, values, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Setting clear goals and objectives for each team member, including personal development objectives
  • Empowering and encouraging managers to reach considered and appropriate decisions
  • Profit and loss responsibility, working closely with the project QS to ensure targets are met
  • Recording and reporting all areas of delay or disruption to the progress of works and working to find resolution of issues.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years as a Contracts Manager, or five years as a Project Manager
  • Design & build, framework, two stage & negotiated contracts
  • Preconstruction knowledge and assisting with tenders.
