Role Description

The Deputy Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at BEAR’s Stone location. This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, including supervising the team, coordinating shifts, and ensuring excellent service standards across coffee, food, and beverage offerings. Responsibilities include managing stock and store presentation, monitoring sales performance, and supporting initiatives that drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. The Deputy Store Manager helps to uphold brand standards, supports training and coaching of team members, and promotes a positive, inclusive work environment. The role also involves assisting with basic administrative tasks, contributing to loss prevention measures, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
  • Effective Communication skills to coordinate the team, provide clear direction, and engage positively with guests and colleagues.
  • Experience in Store Management, including day-to-day retail or hospitality operations, team supervision, and performance support.
  • Awareness of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including stock control, cash handling, and adherence to company policies.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, coffee shops, or retail environments; barista or food service experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexibly across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a hands‑on approach to problem-solving and team support.
