A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland's operations teams across Scotland, delivering essential highway maintenance works.

As an Operations team member, reporting to the Operations Manager, you should be an experienced roadworker/civil engineering operative with the necessary skills to conduct various road maintenance operations. Training will be provided if necessary.

Ideally, you should have, as a minimum, an LGV Class 2 Licence (HGV2), and be prepared to participate in our winter and emergency response service on a standby rota basis. This is a full-time role.

We are Looking for:

  • Road and footway patching/surfacing operatives
  • Traffic Management Installers
  • Safety Barrier Installers
  • Operators of power tools, small plant, and machinery
  • Drivers of vehicles including those with simple attachments such as tractors

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Training to achieve certification in aspects of the job may be required
  • Physically fit for working in sometimes arduous conditions
  • Experience of using small plant
  • Holding tickets for plant, traffic management, and Health and Safety is an advantage
  • Full UK driving license, preferably at LGV Class C level
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility in working practices
