Our Northwest Trunk Road Unit contains 1,500 Structures, stretching from the rugged beauty of Thurso and Wick in the far north, down to the coastal charm of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute. It connects communities from Uig on the Isle of Skye to the historic cities of Perth and Stirling, offering a unique opportunity to work across a landscape that’s as diverse as it is inspiring.
We have an exciting opportunity for Bridge Inspector to join our existing team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Bridge Inspection Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in General and Principal Inspection working towards Bridge Inspection Certificate Scheme (BICS) qualification.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with General and Principal Inspections
- Carrying out Reactive and safety inspections
- Working at height, utilising access systems and underbridge inspection equipment
- Confined space entry, working on water.
- Site supervision of maintenance schemes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Modern Apprentice Scheme entry qualification and progression to HND.
- HND / BSC in Civil Engineering
- Working towards BICS assessment.
