Yardbird - Assistant Restaurant Manager
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focussed Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at Yardbird.
Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring consistently high standards of service, team performance and customer satisfaction. This is a hands‑on position that requires a confident leader who is comfortable managing busy services while supporting and developing the restaurant team.
The rate of pay for this role is £14.50 per hour plus discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to £500.

What you'll do:
- Support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day management of the restaurant
- Lead restaurant operations and coordinate the team during busy services
- Deliver a visible, hands-on management presence on the restaurant floor
- Support with recruitment, training and induction of new restaurant staff
- Oversee restaurant cleanliness and report any maintenance concerns
- Resolve complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
- Enforce health and safety practices, including sanitation and food hygiene
- Ensure consistent quality standards during service
- Oversee the opening and closing of the premises, including set-up and clean down.
About you:
- At least 1 years' experience working as a restaurant supervisor or manager position in a similar busy (table service) restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
