Yardbird – Restaurant Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focussed Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Yardbird.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day service operations of the restaurant on shift
- “Hosting” and waitressing shifts
- Supporting with training and induction of new restaurant staff
- Overseeing restaurant cleanliness and reporting any maintenance concerns
- Resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Enforcing health and safety practices, including sanitation and food hygiene
- Ensuring consistent quality standards during service
- Overseeing the opening and closing of the premises, including set-up and clean down.
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar busy (table service) restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable Criteria:
- 1 year’s supervisory experience in a similar busy (table service) restaurant
