Junior Graphic Designer
As Beannchor's Junior Graphic Designer, you'll have a flair for creativity, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivated and organised, you'll manage your time and priorities effectively and be able to demonstrate your creativity through a portfolio of work.
The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with our Lead Graphic Designer and the entire marketing team to deliver the various artwork requirements across the current portfolio of over 10 different brands.
Requirements include posters, flyers, menus, social media content, press adverts, billboards and digital assets.
This role requires the candidate to be knowledgeable about our different businesses and be able to quickly learn the creative style and treatments suitable for each individual brand.
You'll be part of a small design team where collaboration is highly valued.
Working from a job list created by the marketing team, this role also requires an individual who is well organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing periods of independent work.
The Beannchor group is one of the largest hospitality groups in Northern Ireland and the role will include work on all of our brands including, The Merchant Hotel, Bullitt Hotel, Little Wing Pizzeria, The National, The Dirty Onion, Yardbird, The Second Fiddle, The Hillside, Jenny Watts as well as upcoming projects.
The role will involve
- Understanding each of the businesses’ objectives, strategies, target markets, language and style.
- Supporting the marketing team and the wider business with the production of design work
- Ensure brand standards are maintained for each of the group separate identities
- Assist the creation of content for emails, web pages and various other platforms
- Possible assistance in image editing, video editing and website design
- Efficiently use Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design to produce modern, high quality artwork
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Manage a job list of multiple projects at any one time
- Working with a range of media.
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Preparing artwork for print and proofing print work

The marketing department will however evolve and grow over time to meet market demands.
The selected individual will be expected to embrace such changes and rise to the challenge of developing their skills over time.
Essential Attributes
- Strong working knowledge of In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Creative flair and artistic ability
- A high level of attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a close-knit team environment
- Demonstrable experience producing artwork for a variety of mediums (via portfolio of work)
- Experience preparing artwork for print
- Strong proof reading skills
- Ability to work to a design brief, managing time constraints
- Experience of managing multiple projects at any one time
- Desired Attributes
- A Design or Marketing related qualification at degree level or equivalent
- At least one year’s graphic design experience
- Knowledge of different printing processes and techniques and their different applications
- Experience in video editing software
- Knowledge of website design and HTML coding for items such as mail shots
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, however there may be an occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the business.
