Team Leader

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and confident Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of our busy wet-led bar. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high operational standards.

As Team Leader, you will act as a key holder, lead shifts, support and motivate the bar team, and ensure the venue operates smoothly and safely at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Operations

• Lead and supervise the team during service, ensuring smooth and efficient shift operations
• Act as the main point of contact on shift, resolving issues calmly and professionally
• Open and close the venue as a key holder, following all security and safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, age verification policies, and company standards

Team Management

• Lead, motivate, and support staff on shift to deliver outstanding service
• Allocate duties and manage staff breaks effectively
• Support training of new team members and help maintain consistent service standards
• Address performance or conduct issues appropriately and escalate where required

Cash Handling & Administration

• Carry out end-of-night cash-up procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability
• Handle tills, floats, and safe procedures in line with company policy
• Report discrepancies, incidents, or maintenance issues to management

Customer Experience

• Provide a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for all customers
• Handle customer queries or complaints professionally and efficiently
• Lead by example with excellent product knowledge and service standards

Standards, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and stock control
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed on shift
• Support responsible alcohol service and venue safety at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience in a bar or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of wet-led bar operations
• Confident with cash handling and closing procedures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and late nights

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.41 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
