This position is open in London and will report to the Global VP of Insights and Analytics. The role is part of the Insights and Analytics Leadership team of Suntory Global Spirits.
Role Responsibilities
- The Director, International Region Insights & Analytics, owns category, market, consumer, and brand insights development, alongside trends and forecasts for the entire brand and category portfolio in the International region.
- The remit covers Full Bottle Spirits and Ready to Drink and oversees diverse brands, geography, consumer targets, and stakeholders.
- The Director leads a team of International Region research leads and managers across Europe, 3P, LATAM, and has three insights teams reporting from GTR, UK, Spain.
- The Director reports to the Global VP of Insights and Analytics (NY) and has a dotted line to the International President.
- Interfaces include Strategy, Finance and Commercial teams.
- Key responsibilities include defining learning plans, integrating consumer and brand insights, partnering with Marketing and Sales, driving consumer‑centric decision making, defining business growth opportunities, and ensuring excellence in communication strategy, consumer targeting, innovation execution and brand investment.
- The Director is fully accountable for syndicated and primary research and incorporates insights from external and internal sources to provide a competitive advantage and enable share growth in the International region.

- Experience setting, aligning, and delivering an insights agenda and ensuring excellence.

- Story‑telling skills – succinct and impactful style.
- Flexibility and self‑direction to work/lead autonomously.
- Team player in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Manage multiple projects/brands/direct‑reports simultaneously and deliver work with excellence.
- Lead qualitative & quantitative custom research projects throughout all stages.
- Experience with a range of research methodologies (concept testing, advertising, packaging, positioning, consumer segmentation, demand spaces).
- Experience developing, aligning, and owning a team research budget.
- Resourceful and fiscally mindful, leveraging internal resources to inform brand strategy.
- Experience with syndicated sources (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Panel data, MRI) and generating category or brand insights with recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and extract meaningful insights from data.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus.
- Minimum 12‑15 years of custom insight/research experience.
- International Region experience a must, ideally with strong alcoholic beverage experience.
- Extensive client‑side experience in leading CPG companies a must.
- Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and suppliers.
- Experience delivering analytics/syndicated data for reporting.
- Experience leading custom research across a variety of methods and business applications.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams (leaders of leaders).
