As Commercial Marketing Executive for Scotland & Manchester, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery and effective execution of brand experiences in line with consumer demand occasions, shopper insights, data analytics & channel objectives to drive customer, category and Suntory Global Spirits brand growth. Focussing specifically on the Scotland & Manchester on trade channel, this role will support the delivery of departmental budget performance within agreed guidelines and delivery of commercial marketing initiatives that build increased desirability and sustainable growth and profitability for the Company.

You will play a key role on the ground with our customers, ensuring our brands are brought to life for consumers in the On Trade, playing a key role in ensuring our activations build our brands while delivering commercially for the organisation. This role can be located in either Glasgow or Manchester, UK.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of effective activations in line with channel plan activities, ensuring assets and POS are delivered on time, in full no matter the scale of activation.
  • Ensure the implementation and execution of the Commercial Marketing Strategy across Scotland & Manchester On Trade accounts.
  • Partner with your customers to ensure they are supported and see value in the role our brands play in boosting their performance.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to implement partnerships and activations within your accounts which align with our overall channel strategy.
  • Support the Commercial Marketing in the development & delivery of the activation calendar around key brand moments.
  • Manage the development and execution of innovation launch plans within Scotland & Manchester On Trade.
  • Be aware of and evaluate yourself against KPI’s, campaign reviews and implement test & learn methodology to all campaigns to continually optimise and show a clear return on investment.
  • Gather insight and data from your activations and how they are received by customer and consumer and feedback to the Insights & Reporting Manager to close the loop on creating meaningful activations.
  • Actively research and share insight on competitor activations and best practice from the wider FMCG industry.
  • Support future business brand planning and strategy to drive growth across range and innovation.
  • Focus on delivering value with your customers while supporting other channels especially around key trading periods and projects.
  • Ensure your activations do not exceed BI budget and that any risks to deliver or potential overspends are flagged in good time.
  • Liaise with key company stakeholders, including, but not limited to Sales, Finance, Logistics, Culture, Marketing.

Qualifications

  • 2/3 years+ experience in Trade/Commercial Marketing, FMCG, Spirits/Drinks industry preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering activations in a range of customers, ensuring the needs of the business and the needs of the customer are met.
  • Knowledge of UK On trade landscape.
