Supporting a large multi-site workforce across the UK, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of a complex payroll function while leading HR Operations, People Systems and Data.

You'll inherit an established team and play a key role in driving continuous improvement, automation and service excellence, ensuring critical people processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and compliantly.

The Role

You will lead the Payroll & HR Services function, overseeing Payroll, HR Operations, People Systems and Data across the business.

This is a hands on operational leadership role where you'll influence how services are delivered, lead transformation initiatives and help shape the future of the People function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a large, complex payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement across payroll and HR operations, simplifying processes and improving efficiency.
  • Lead the development and optimisation of HR and Payroll systems, automation and workflows.
  • Ensure robust governance across payroll, people data, GDPR and statutory compliance.
  • Deliver meaningful people reporting and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Support acquisitions, integrations and wider business change initiatives.
  • Manage external technology partners and suppliers, ensuring excellent service delivery.
