Job Description Management Accountant Liverpool | £42,000–£45,000 | Permanent | Full-time | Office-based Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys turning financial information into meaningful insight? Beam Recruit is supporting an impressive, third-generation family business with the appointment of a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of management accounting and reporting activities, producing accurate financial information that supports effective commercial decision-making. Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packs Producing accruals, prepayments and payroll journals Completing balance sheet reconciliations Analysing overheads, revenue, margins and business performance Supporting costing activities and providing commercial financial insight Preparing information for banking and other external reporting requirements Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning Supporting year-end processes and external audits Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve financial processes Providing wider support to the Head of Finance and finance team when required The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop strong relationships across the business, influence decision-making and improve the quality of financial information. Ideally, you will be CIMA or ACCA qualified. Qualified-by-experience Management Accountants Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA candidates Previous experience producing management accounts Strong knowledge of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Strong Excel and general systems skills The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues Applications are welcomed from candidates in other sectors who can demonstrate strong management accounting experience and the ability to understand operational business drivers.
