About the role

Beam supports homeless people, refugees, and prison leavers to access stable employment and their own homes. Our work is only possible because of our partnerships with Local Government, who commission Beam to support local communities.

In this role, you will lead the charge in bringing Beam to new areas of the UK, owning your own end-to-end sales process. You’ll need exceptional relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and plenty of hustle to design and build bespoke partnerships which are built to last.

Beam has never been needed more, and we have a huge opportunity to work with Local Government partners to change how welfare services are delivered for millions of people.

You’ll be

  • Building new relationships: Hustling to build connections and secure meetings with a broad network of stakeholders, from front line teams to senior leaders.

  • Designing new partnerships: Building a deep understanding of local need and working closely with our expert internal teams to build tailored proposals.

  • Leading 6/7-figure commercial negotiations: Local Government partners need to see strong returns for their investment, and you’ll lead negotiations through to contract signature.

  • Owning a revenue target: Driving Beam\’s growth, owning a large and broad patch (â…“ of UK LAs) with huge potential for growth.

  • Managing a strong pipeline: This is a senior role with high accountability. You’ll run a tight ship with exceptional pipeline management and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to own the end-to-end sales cycle.

  • Supercharging how we work: You’re a team player who is keen to learn and always looking for innovative ways to level up what we do.

You are

  • A proven salesperson: You have significant experience in commercial roles and have a proven track record of running an end-to-end sales process, closing new customers and meeting revenue goals.

  • A relationship builder: Emotionally intelligent and able to quickly build rapport and establish trust with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Naturally curious: Every partnership is unique, and you’ll rarely be pitching “BAU”. You’re able to draw out real insights into what customers need from us.

  • An analytical thinker: You’re comfortable making data-driven decisions, whether to manage your own pipeline or to model impact for a customer.

  • Results driven: You thrive working towards ambitious individual revenue goals and relish the opportunity to take on new challenges.
