Construction Professional Indemnity Associate (3-4 Years PQE) – UK – London

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Construction Professional Indemnity Associate with around 3-4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our London office.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a market leading team working on high profile and complex matters for a diverse client base.

You will have the opportunity to work with leading insurers, contractors, consultants, architects, engineers and other industry professionals, contributing to matters that are often high value, technically complex and international in scope.

Key Responsibilities

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following (although we do not necessarily require candidates to have experience in all of these areas):

  • Acting and advising in respect of claims against construction professionals such as Engineers, Architects, Surveyors and Design & Build Contractors.
  • Preparing correspondence pursuant to the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes and for litigated claims in the Courts of England & Wales (TCC) and/or domestic or international Arbitration.
  • ADR, including negotiation and mediation.
  • Adjudication.
  • Advising professional clients and their insurers on case strategy and claim and cost reserves.
  • Instructing liability and quantum experts and Counsel.
  • Interest in and/or experience of dealing with complex insurance coverage issues.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • Are commercially aware and committed to delivering practical solutions for clients.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a high performing team.
  • Demonstrable experience of living the values of our Firm.
