Purpose of the Role
To bridge the gap between technical process documentation and practical, business-friendly process flows that can be used for stakeholder training, adoption, and clarity across functions.
What We Need This Person To Do
Quickly Absorb Existing Technical Process Material
- Review and fully understand current technical process maps and documentation (e.g. Visio flows, ADO boards).
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unclear areas in the existing process materials.
Engage & Extract Real Process Detail from Business Stakeholders
- Proactively interview functional teams and process owners to gather the real-life, business-side view of processes.
- Clarify “what happens in reality” vs. what is described technically.
Translate Technical Process Flows into Business-Friendly Process Maps
- Convert technical language/processes into clear, role-specific, function-based process descriptions.
- Deliver Visio outputs using business language like:
- “Marketing briefs campaign to Sales Ops > Sales Ops uploads into CRM > Sales rep executes outreach”
- – NOT technical API triggers or system events.
Support Training Needs Design
- Work directly with the Head of Transformation to:
- Identify where process gaps impact training content.
- In creating the documentation support the creation of business-friendly process descriptions suitable for use in training materials and user guides.
- Lead on closing the gaps and unknowns in the training matrix based on actual business process flows.
Operate with Speed & Minimal Hand-Holding
- Must be comfortable hitting the ground running: pick up incomplete or imperfect documentation, fill gaps through smart questioning, and rapidly produce useable business outputs.
- Experience in “mid-flight” projects where everything is not yet clean or perfectly defined is essential.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to translate complex technical process maps into practical, business-useable documentation.
- Strong stakeholder interviewing skills to gather missing detail from business teams.
- Expertise in process mapping tools (Visio) & documentation (Confluence, PPT, Word).
- Experience working in transformation or technology-driven change environments.
- Comfortable working at pace with ambiguity, incomplete information, and evolving processes.
