A leading IT solutions and managed services provider is looking for a Sales Manager to own and grow a portfolio of enterprise customers while leading a high‑performing sales team. The business focuses on modern workplace, secure networking, cloud, data & AI and cybersecurity solutions, underpinned by 24/7 managed services and strong partnerships with major vendors (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft).
What you’ll do
- You will manage and grow a set of strategic UK customers, selling networking, security, cloud and managed services solutions.
- You will inherit an existing Sales team of 4, providing day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and performance management. You will have autonomy to hire a further 2 as you scale the team and increase coverage.
- You will build and execute clear territory and account plans to deliver and exceed a team target, with year‑on‑year growth.
- You will develop and deepen senior stakeholder and C‑level relationships, positioning the company as a strategic partner.
- You will work closely with pre‑sales, solution architects and marketing to shape compelling customer propositions and campaigns.
- You will lead and support your team through the full sales cycle from qualification to close, including proposals, commercials and contract negotiation.
- You will maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts and CRM discipline at both individual and team level.
What you’ll bring
- An experienced sales leader who has built, scaled and grown high‑performing sales teams, not just managed steady‑state accounts.
- Demonstrable success running teams delivering c.£2-3m+ per annum, with clear evidence of year‑on‑year target achievement and growth.
- A hands‑on “doer” mindset – you lead from the front, stay close to customers and deals, and are as comfortable selling as you are coaching.
- Background ideally from the IT MSP or value‑added reseller world; managers from network vendors might also be considered.
- Ability to build senior relationships and present confidently at C‑suite level.
- Please note: applicants coming purely from distribution sales leadership will not be considered.
What’s on offer
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and a clear path for further leadership progression.
- Hybrid working, plus strong support for training and certification with leading technology vendors.
- The opportunity to put your stamp on an already successful sales function, inherit a motivated team and build it out further.
If you’re a proven IT MSP/Reseller Sales Manager who thrives on building teams and winning complex deals – please apply with your CV or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
