Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers' technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.
You will be working as part of a regional service team, providing 24/7 emergency cover as part of a rota. Completing scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance in a specified time at hospital sites.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
- Liaising with the service office and customer to plan daily and weekly visit schedules.
- Working unsupervised, using your own initiative to carry out laid down tasks.
- Identification of additional works such as manifold and plant installations, completing short form tenders (quotations).
- Control of stock and administration, timesheets, parts order forms, quotations, expenses etc.
- Commissioning of new systems as required.
- Be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations during daily tasks.
- Maintaining test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition.
To succeed, you will need:
- Time served apprentice in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with City & Guilds qualification, minimum parts 1 & 2.
- A sound knowledge of compressors / vacuum pumps.
- Be self-driven with a clear focus on high quality.
- Competent and confident, reliable and an empathetic communicator.
- A full UK driving licence.
