Beacon Hill School is looking to appoint someone who is thirsty for success, has the highest of expectations and deep understanding of the challenges that children and young people with additional needs face. The key purpose of the role will be to lead the development of inclusive practice across the school, ensuring that pupils' barriers to learning, well-being, communication, attendance, regulation and participation are identified, understood and reduced.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of pupils with SLD, PMLD and ASC.
  • Use evidence from PLGs, EHCPs, annual reviews, pupil voice, attendance, behaviour, family feedback and professional advice to identify priorities and improve provision.
  • Keep accurate records and use data to analyse trends and plan appropriate interventions.
  • Work as a member of a team with educational and other professionals, both within and outside the school.
  • Be committed to improving the provision offered to students through rigorous professional self-review and development.
  • Remain resilient and focused on finding solutions to issues experienced in any school setting.
